Students on Zoom call

The art of persuasion was the focus of letters sixth-grade writing class students at Middle South wrote to Vernon Hills Mayor Roger Byrne. They wrote these letters as though they were the Vernon Hills Chief of Police asking the mayor for a canine unit. Chief of Police Kreis reviewed the letters and joined Zoom calls with each class.  He praised the students for the important points they made in their letters and explained the benefits and challenges of adding a canine unit to the police department.
