Hawthorn District 73 has partnered with Comcast to offer their Internet Essentials service for free to families eligible for public assistance programs such as the National School Lunch Program, Housing Assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, and SSI. Features of Internet Essentials Program include: 

  • High-speed Internet service (25/3 Mbps) 

  • 1.2 Terabytes of Internet data usage each month

  • No term contract 

  • No credit check

  • Free plug and go self-installation kit

  • A dedicated phone number to call if help is needed to set up the self-installation kit

  • Xfinity’s WiFi hotspots app for access to millions of secure WiFi hotspots nationwide

  • No need for cable or phone service to access Internet Essentials
