About
Hawthorn District 73 provides both breakfast and lunch through our food service provider, Arbor Food Service. All students regardless of income level can receive free breakfasts and lunches every day through June 30, 2021. More information is linked here.
When completing the wellness assessment for your child each day, please indicate if he/she would like a school provided lunch every day they are in attendance.
Update: With the implementation of the hybrid learning model, effective Monday, February 1st, lunches will no longer be delivered to bus stops by Lakeside Transportation. We welcome families to pick up lunches Mondays and Wednesdays at Middle School South between 8-10am. Please take into consideration if there is a day of No School on Monday, pick up will be Tuesday of that week followed by Wednesday.

PAY (OR TRACK) ONLINE: During in-person learning, Hawthorn offers a web-based meal management program at https://www.k12paymentcenter.com. We encourage families to use this system to monitor usage and account balances and to make payments. To use the system, families set up an online account using each student’s school ID number. There is no cost for families to set up a student account or to use the low balance email alert to keep track of when to add money to your student’s meal account. Families can make payments into several student accounts under one transaction by inputting different student ID numbers during the process. The system takes deposits of from $1 to $100 in a single transaction. Even if families do not want to use the system to make payments, please set up your account to assist in tracking your student’s meal usage and balance.
All current eighth grade students with a positive meal balance will receive a refund in March.
