Summer Reading Requirement

Summer is a great opportunity to catch up on reading that you didn’t have time to get to during the school year. It is also a time to make sure you don’t lose all the hard work you did during the previous year. Research shows that students typically lose the equivalent of one month of knowledge over the summer. Thus, every student enrolled at Hawthorn Middle School South MUST complete a summer reading requirement in an effort to combat this.
