STEM in Consumer Technology

Now that we have our Chromebooks, we are able to incorporate app development into the Consumer Technology curriculum!  We have been told that we are the first Consumer Technology class to integrate app development into our curriculum and we could not be more grateful that the district gave us this opportunity!

8th Grade IMS

Alexander’s, Hope’s, and Robinson’s 8th Grade Integrated Math & Science (IMS) classes started the year by engineering Marshmallow/Spaghetti Towers.  The teams were given 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 meter of string, 1 meter of tape, and a marshmallow.  They had 18min to build the tallest structure they could, that would support the marshmallow on top.
