Pep Assembly 10.31.18

Today’s pep assembly was filled with lots of fun & entertainment! It began with an amazing performance by our school band, followed by halloween jokes, costume contest, teachers bobbing for apples and a video of our fall sports programs.

Industrial Technology

Students in Mr. Jaramillo’s Industrial Technology course design and test rollercoasters!  They are timing their design and making adjustments to increase speed.

7th Grade PE

Mrs. Logan, Mr. Cameron & Mr. Crandall’s 7th grade PE classes took full advantage of this beautiful fall friday and ran the mile!

Dia de los Muertos

During Spanish class, students were learning about Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Mexican Holiday celebrated around the world. Students made and presented ofrendas in memory of their loved ones. The holiday focuses on remembering and celebrating family and friends that are no longer living.

Girls Cross Country State Placer

Rose Sheridan place 7th in the State with a time of 11:36. This is the fastest time in Hawthorn’s History   Also the team took 9th in the State. This is the fastest team in Hawthorn’s History.  Congratulations on a great season!

1776 the Musical

On Friday, October 26th 7th Grade students attended an in-house field trip to see a musical by American Eagle Productions.  They performed 1776, a musical about the writing of the Declaration of Independence.
